2021 Support a Student Campaign

We help students find their spark through authentic paid research experiences. Funds will be given to students in the form of fellowships for doing STEM research at Quest. We would like to have as many students exposed to this unique experience as possible. Please choose from the following categories to place your support:

• Students with disabilities
  
• Students from low-income families and/or with the most financial need
  
• Students from groups that are historically underrepresented in the STEM workforce
  
• Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) students
  
• Hispanic or Latinx students
  
• Top achieving students (based on standardized exams and/or transcripts)
  
• Students from refugee families (living in the US for less than 3 years)
  
• Any student (no specific designation)
  
• Your own specific designation
  

Important Points: 

• All students will go through our two-step standard acceptance process, and donors MAY NOT provide a specific student name to be supported. 
• You will receive a report on how your money supported students and the progress of the student(s) that you are supporting, WITHOUT any personal identifying information about students.
• We will do our best to identify eligible students from the groups that you support. You will be contacted if we are unable to find an interested and eligible student in your designated group. ​

Suggested donation for supporting one student in Summer 2021: $500-$2000

Current financial spending breakdown of funds without a specific designation (federal and private grants are utilized according to their terms and conditions):

• Student Stipends: 85% or more
• Rent: 0% 
• Research Materials: 5% or less
• Mentor/Researcher Compensation: 10% or less.

This financial spending has been made possible through:

• Collaborations with local universities and national supercomputing centers to keep the cost for research materials at the minimum​
• Both administrative staff and researchers/mentors working on either a voluntary basis or with a minimum compensation
